Leicatex Project
Leicatex makes the small hardware that holds the world’s pallets together, in a plant in London, Ontario. We spent a day with them — three product films, a compilation and a story film for the company’s 50th year, all from the same footage.
What this was for
A manufacturer whose work is invisible by design — showing customers and staff what the plant actually does, and one film built to open new markets. Five pieces from a single shoot day.
The story, as we wrote it at the time
Samuel Marketing Solutions asked us to make films for one of its companies: Leicatex, a plant on Exeter Road in London, Ontario that makes the small hardware holding the world’s pallets and straps together — more than 300 million seals and buckles a year, shipped around the world. In one day we shot for three product films and a compilation, each aimed at a different audience, and then cut a story film from the same footage for the company’s 50th year. Five pieces, one shoot, one crew.

The films
The other four films in the set are published together on the client’s own channel — the Leicatex playlist.
